Apple Kheer

Here i am with a sweet item with Apple ........

What We Need :

Apple - 1 no big size
Milk - 3 cups
Sugar - 1 cup or can be adjusted to your taste
Elaichi Powder - 1/4 spn
Dry fruits for garnishing

How To Do:

  • In a heavy bottom pan boil milk by stirring occasionally till 3 cups of milk become to 2 cups of milk
  • In the meanwhile peel and grate the apple by removing the center hard part.
  • Heat ghee in another pan and fry dry fruits, i have used raisins, almonds and cashew nuts
  • Ones the milk boiled to 2 cups add sugar, let it dilute in the milk then add peeled and grated apple let it boil for another 5 mins.
  • Finally add elaichi powder, fried dried nuts.

Here is my Apple Kheer ready to serve hot .........

Bread Kofta Curry

Here i am with kofta curry with bread .......

What We Need:

For Koftas:
Bread - 6 slices
Potato - 1no medium size
Coriander Powder - 1/8 spn
Green chillie - 1no
Oil for deep frying
Salt to taste

For Gravy:

Onion - 1no medium size
Tomato - 3no medium size (boiled and pureed)
Red Chillie powder - 1 spn
Turmeric powder -  a pinch
Ginger Garlic Paste - 1/2 spn
Garam masala powder - 1/2 spn

Salt to your taste.

How To Do:

  • Pressure cook potato and smash.
  • Cut the edges of bread, smash to powder and mix with smashed potato along with coriander powder, finely chopped green chillies, salt if needed can add a little water to make it a dough to make them into balls.

  • Heat oil for deep frying, fry bread balls till they turn to golden brown color and keep a side.

  • Boil tomatoes and grind them to paste.
  • In a pan heat 1spn oil and fry chopped onions till transculent, fry ginger garlic paste until the pungent smell go away. Add tomato puree, turmeric powder, red chillie powder, garam masala powder, salt let it cook till it leaves the vessel.
  • Now add enough water and let it cook till the desired consistency.
  • Now add fried kofta balls into this gravy and serve hot.

Here is my Bread Kofta Gravy curry which can be tasted with any type of rotis, rice or any fried rice too .....

There are so many varieties of preparing koftas and out of these i love malai kofta but my husband is a big health holic ;) he always want everything healthy and i always want everything heavy tasty food. With this bread koftas both of us are happy :)

Here i am with a sweet item with milk .........

What We Need:

Milk - 2lts
Sugar - 2 cups or can be varied to your taste
Milkmaid - 2tbsp (optional)

How To Do:

  • In a heavy bottomed pan heat milk, ones it starts boiling stir occasionally ones in 5minutes.
  • Ones it starts evaporating and milk thickens stir continuously until it comes 1/4th part of the milk.
  • Now add sugar and stir for about 15 minutes and add milk maid(optional) and stir until the consistency should be in such a way that you can make balls or to your desired consistency.

Here is my PalaKova for this New year Celebrations .........
To prepare this simple dish you need lots of interest and patience as i hadnt stirred continuously few lumps formed which can be smashed at the end to a smooth paste. I prepared this with 4 lts of milk and am done at the end, so we had this as it is without smashing but still it tasted good. Adding milk maid gave extra taste to these PalaKovas which is an optional ingredient.
