Poori / Puri with Besan Curry

Here i am with my all time favourite Poori .......

What We Need :

Wheat Flour - 2cups
Water for making the dough
Salt for taste
Oil for deep frying

How To Do :

  • Make the dough with wheat flour , salt , 1spn of oil by adding enough water.
  • Make small balls of your desired size , these will give approximately 10balls
  •   On a flat surface using a rolling pin roll the balls 

  •  Heat oil in a pan and deep fry the pooris.

 Here you go with puris very fluffy .......

The combination for these puri's is besan curry , we love this combination .......

Besan Curry

What We Need :

Onions - 2no of medium size
Green Chillies - 2no
Dry Red chillies -2 no
Potato - 1no optional
Turmeric Powder - 1/2 spn
Besan - 2spn

Mustard seeds - 1/2spn
Jeera - 1/2spn
Split Chana dal - 1spn
Urad Dal - 1spn
Curry Leaves

How to Do :

  • In a pan heat 1spn oil and do the popu with mustard seeds when they splutter add jeera, split chana dal, urad dal, curry leaves, dry red chillies, split green chillies.
  • Add lengthwise chopped onions and let them fry until they are transculent.
  • Add turmeric powder , chopped potatoes and let them cook with lid on top of the pan until they become soft.
  • In a bowl mix besan with 1/2 cup water make sure that no  lumps are formed.
  • Add 2cups of water , salt ones water started boiling add besan mix by continously stirring with a spatula.
  • Let it cook for 5min more and serve hot.
