Here i am with a breakfast item which is a regular and fast and easy recipe with a little variation of adding a a little masala to this so that every one likes it ........
What We Need:
Suji - 2 cups
Water - 4cups
Oil - 1 tspn
Onion - 1 no medium size
Green Chillies - 3 no
Carrot - 1 no
Potatoe - 1 no
Pea nuts - 3 tspn or a fist full you can adjust according to your taste
Chana dal - 1 spn
Urad dal - 1 spn
Mustard seeds - 1/4 spn
Jeera - 1/2 spn
Curry leaves - 2 springs
Cinamom - 1/2 inch piece
Cloves - 3no
Salt to your taste

How To Do:
- In a pan heat oil splutter mustard seeds, jeera, curry leaves now add pean nuts, chana dal, urad dal and let them fry. Fry finely chopped green chillies and lengthwise chopped onions until they are transculent.
- Add chopped carrot, potatoe and let them fry.
- In the meanwhile powder cinamom stick and cloves.
- Ones the vegetables are soft add 4 cups of water and let it come to boil, add powdered cinamom & cloves, adjust salt to your taste
- Now add suji to the boiling water by continuously stirring water with a spatula, cook by covering with a lid on top of it until water evaporates.
Here is my Upma with masala flavour, this is almost the same as our regular upma except that we added cinamom and cloves for flavour. Serve hot as it is or with any chutney, pickle or even with sugar too .......
