Coconut Chutney / Kobbari Pachadi

Here i am with coconut chutney, as there are many different ways in preparing this coconut chutney am giving this as version 1

What We Need:

Coconut - 1 no
Red Chillies - 6no
Mustard Seeds - 1/2 spn
Cumin Seeds - 1/2 spn
Urad dal - 1spn
Chana dal - 2spn
Garlic pods - 4no
Tamarind juice - 2spn
Oil - 1spn

Salt to your taste

How To Do :


  • Grate or make small pieces of coconut and keep aside.
  • Heat a pan with oil add mustard seeds and cumin seeds ones they splutter add urad dal, chana dal, splitted red chillies, garlic pods and fry.
  • Grind fried items to powder, now add tamarind juice, salt and coconut slightly grind by adding very little water.

You can taste this along with white rice or side dish with any dal or curd rice ......
If you want to taste along with idly or dosa or any breakfast items then you can add a little more water and grind for a smooth paste and do tadka or popu ......
